Andrew Wright is Running the London Marathon for Phab Kids

We have some exciting news to share about our Financial Controller, Andrew Wright. Andrew is a keen runner who went on his first ever run with in July 2020 with our Chief Operating Officer Jacki Stevenson in an attempt to get fit and beat the lockdown blues, and much like Forest Gump, he has not stopped running since. He has completed many races over the years, including the Alton Towers 10km and the Manchester Half Marathon, to name a couple. Now, he is ready to take on his biggest challenge yet – the London Marathon on April 23rd.
But Andrew isn’t just running for personal achievement. He is also raising money for a fantastic charity, Phab Kids, which has been inspiring and supporting disabled and non-disabled children, young people, and adults for the last 60 years, breaking down community barriers and reducing social isolation.
As for his running journey, we can’t help but compare Andrew to Forest Gump. Both have a passion for running and have taken on incredible challenges. But, unlike Forest, Andrew is not running for three years, two months, 14 days, and 16 hours straight! We think Andrew’s approach is much more reasonable, and we are excited to see him crush the London Marathon and continue to inspire us all.
Andrew’s dedication to his training and fundraising has been inspiring, and he has already raised an incredible amount of money for Phab Kids totalling £1,724 as it stands today. We are incredibly proud of him and wish him all the best for the London Marathon.
So, let’s get behind Andrew and Phab Kids and donate whatever we can to support this fantastic cause using the link below. Good luck, Andrew – we know you’ll do us proud!
