Today (29th September 2022) is World EV Day, a day dedicated to celebrating sustainable e-mobility. Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular for both private customers and fleets with a recent survey conducted by Fleet News saying that currently, almost 11% of fleets are using electric vehicles. This may not seem like a lot, but if you look at forward orders of new fleet cars, a staggering 39% are fully electric, with plug-in hybrid (PHEV) coming in at 27%. That’s 66% of new orders moving away from the traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.
